POP is a small, senior-led creative studio built for flexibility. Founded by designer Matt Battye and illustrator Cat Charm, we bring together decades of experience across New Zealand retailers, brands, agencies and in-house teams.
We believe great design doesn’t need layers of management, expensive offices, or big-agency overheads. Instead, we focus on what really matters: strong ideas, thoughtful design, and work that gets results.
Our core team leads every project from start to finish, collaborating with a trusted network of freelance creatives when needed. This flexible approach allows us to scale the team around each project while keeping things efficient and cost-effective for our clients.

Cat Charm
Co-Founder & Studio Director cat@makeitpop.co.nzCat is an illustrator and designer specialising in children’s illustration, publishing and character design. She also has strong experience creating vinyl graphics and signage for retail and display environments.
At POP Cat oversees illustration, publishing and creative production, helping guide projects from concept through to final delivery.
